There is no doubt that CBD will stay popular for longer. As the CBD market continues to explode, those on the outside looking in are filled with a little bit of hesitation and skepticism. The questions I get about CBD range from are these.
1) Is it safe?
2) Will I get flagged with a drug test?
Before taking CBD or any other supplement, it’s always best to talk to a doctor or clinical expert, especially if you are taking medication or have a severe medical condition. The good news is that studies show that CBD is safe, and consumers rave about its benefits. There are also plenty of CBD products out there that are 100 percent THC free, so as long as your CBD has zero THC, you are good to go on the drug test, too.
Since CBD is now accepted by the mainstream and is getting bigger and bigger, we see a new wave of entrepreneurship capitalizing on the trend. According to Brightfield Group estimates, the CDB market is expected to reach $24 billion by 2023. Over 40 of current CBD users are purchasing their product online, so there has never been a better time for mainstream Americans to participate in this market that is quickly rising.
How Do I Get In On the Action?
I recently posted an article Three Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Buy CBD on Amazon. You should check it out. Online resellers like Amazon and e-Bay do not allow the sale of CBD products, so if you are interested in getting involved in the business of becoming a CBD distributor, you will need to consider other options.
Many direct sales companies are offering CBD in the product line, and they are also providing consumers an opportunity to become distributors. When deciding on which company you might want to affiliate with, it’s important to consider three factors.
(1) Can the company furnish a COA (Certificate of Analysis)?
A COA indicates how a product has performed in tests, usually commissioned by the manufacturer, checking CBD and THC levels, and whether it contains contaminants such as heavy metals or pesticides. If a company does not have the data or refuses to share it, look for another supplier.
(2) Can the CBD products be competitive in the market?
The biggest problem I see in MLM/Network marketing is that many companies are selling overpriced products. When similar products are easily found, distributors often find themselves having to pitch why their $99.00 bottle of Super Berry Juice is better than the $19.99 bottle at Walmart. There really isn’t a difference in many cases, except many MLM companies have to jack up their products’ price to drive the compensation plan. If you plan to capitalize on one of the hottest trends in the market right now, make sure you have a product that competes on price and quality.
(3) Will Your Business Be Ready to Pivot When the Market Becomes Saturated
I believe we are years away from the CBD market becoming saturated. In fact, analysts are estimating that by 2026, CBD will be a 90 billion dollar industry. Those companies that seized first to market advantage will always have a competitive edge. That’s why companies like Coca-Cola are still around. However, as more competition for CBD enters the market, it’s vital to position yourself to pivot as the market pivots. The mother of ingenuity is innovation, so being aligned with an innovative company is critical to long-term sustainability.
The Bottom Line
The future of CBD is bright, and we can expect bigger and better things to come in 2021.
