My Journey: Balancing a Career I Love with Financial Freedom
My story might sound familiar for those who don’t know me. I’ve been a full-time teacher and coach for many years, and I’m incredibly passionate about my career. The joy of making a lasting impact on children and shaping the future is something I wouldn’t trade for the world. I’ve also had the privilege of being a co-founder for Bigtime Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit student ministry, which has been my heartbeat for the past 20 years. I feel blessed every day to do work that not only fulfills me but also impacts lives for eternity.
But as fulfilling as my career is, it’s no secret that teaching is a fixed-income profession. I reached a point where I needed a Plan B—not because I wanted to leave teaching, but because I wanted to stay. I wanted to create financial stability without having to sacrifice my calling. Starting a home-based business allowed me to grow my wealth without walking away from the classroom or the ministry that I love.
