TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY
Travel is back in 2021. The vaccines are rolling out very quickly, and it appears the end of our long COVID nightmare is finally in sight. In anticipation of travel opening up again, I’ve compiled a list of some of the best places to travel in the coming year. These are places that I have been to or plan to see in 2021 and 2022.
#1 CANCUN COMING SOON!
I am heading off to Cancun this June to vacation like a ROCK STAR at the brand-new, all-inclusive Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun. Planet Hollywood has created the ultimate beachfront vacation locale featuring Hollywood memorabilia, themed experiences, a star-worthy spa, and various all-inclusive dining venues and bars, transforming the everyday all-inclusive vacation into a fabulous getaway. From the innovative and immersive programs offered at the Stars Kids Club to a new world of the flavors provided at themed restaurants and pumped up PHit fitness program, Planet Hollywood Cancun brings big-screen excitement to the beautiful beachfront of Costa Mujeres, Cancun.
#2 CABO IN DECEMBER
I am heading back to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort this coming December. This four-diamond resort is situated within the exclusive residential development of Quivira Los Cabos and overlooking the Pacific Ocean in beautiful Cabo San Lucas. This family-friendly resort is tucked away on a private coastal bluff. This vacation destination offers both tranquility and convenience. Guests will have access to an array of restaurants. Also, the resort offers the award-winning Armonia Spa, private beach privileges, and exclusive access to the Jack Nicklaus Signature course at Quivira Golf Club. I stayed at this resort in December 2020. In the middle of a world-wide pandemic, the staff went out of their way to ensure everything was clean and safe for all guests.
#3 REMEMBERING KEY LARGO
I visited Key Largo back in 2017 and had to chance to stay at Playa Largo Resort and Spa. This beautiful hotel is situated on 14 plus miles of secluded beachfront acres boasting Florida Bay’s sweeping views. The accommodations are a reminder of old Florida with an Ameri-Caribbean flair. With multiple restaurants, rooms, and beach services, guests will enjoy a variety of epicurean delights. The Ocean Spa offers a relaxing and pampering escape. The outdoor adventurer will enjoy the vast array of activities, including watersports, eco-tours, diving & snorkeling, fishing, and lounging. Nearby attractions include swimming with the dolphins, a glass-bottom boat, sightseeing tours, and unique island shopping. This family-friendly resort is a destination unto itself. It receives my highest recommendation.
#4 30-A ANYTIME
The 30-A corridor is known as the Crown Jewel of the Southern Riviera (the Southern Riviera is the 200 mile stretch of pristine coast that stretches from Gulf Shores, Alabama to St George Island, Florida). This area is known for the shimmering brilliance of the Gulf of Mexico and its white-sand beaches. Of all the places I have traveled, I have yet to see a beach that compares to the Emerald Coast. This vacation paradise stretch offers plenty of good dining, fun activities, and numerous places to shop. Whether it’s Panama City, Destin, Seaside, Rosemary, Watercolor, Carillon, or Inlet Beach, you are guaranteed the best sunset views in the world. When considering all of your vacation options, you should definitely make plans to book a 30-A vacation this summer.
#5 BOOK A CRUISE AS SOON AS YOU CAN
Cruise lines are exercising extreme caution before they resume sailings. I can undoubtedly understand the nightmare scenarios they were faced with when the COVID-19 lockdowns began in 2020. Even taking all of that into consideration, I have no hesitation about cruising as soon as it is safe. Of all the vacations I have been on, cruising is no doubt my favorite. It’s a one-stop-shop, “something for everyone” vacation experience. As far as recommendations, I really don’t have one. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian. Every trip far exceeded my expectations. I am eagerly anticipating a return to cruising.
I hope you got some value from this post. If so, I would appreciate you LIKING, COMMENTING, and SHARING.
Live well!
